These vintage bookends appear to be unmarked, yet they are featured in Collector's Guide to Bookends by L. Kuritzky (1998) as Plate 77. Kuritzky states they are made of iron with bronze-plated finish and produced around 1930. We believe these bookends were made to represent Betsy Ross making the first American flag. They measure 4" tall, and 5 x 2" at the base. In excellent vintage condition - see images for more details.
